OBITUARY ---------------

JACOB KREISS

Redwood City Democrat

September 29, 1898

Jacob Kreiss, who lives some four miles distance from Redwood City, accidentally shot himself with fatal effect. He was seen by some members of the family going into the orchard with a gun and some poisoned wheat with which to kill the squirrels and gophers. In crossing over the orchard fence, it seems the gun was accidentally discharged, the shot taking effect in the left side.
